- PW 57.3 was Certified for general availability on October 1, 2018.
Upgrade Schedule Process
- Each month, starting in October, customers will be contacted by Customer Support to arrange the date and time of their upgrade.
- Once Customer Support schedules your upgrade, you will receive an email with the date / time of the scheduled upgrade.
- Three days before the night of your database upgrade, you will also receive an upgrade reminder email.
- In future releases, the plan is to automate the scheduling of upgrades with customer notifications via emails (well in advance) instead of phone calls.
Database Upgrades
- The night of your database upgrade, you will receive another email indicating the success or failure of the database upgrade.
- A database upgrade failure is very rare, but if it occurs, then you are “business as usual” the following morning running 56, with no forced upgrade to 57.
- After a successful database upgrade, all of your desktops will be forced to install to the new 57.3 version.
- Follow the instructions on the screens using our new Install Shield installer.
- You no longer need to reboot the PC. However, if you receive any strange errors right after the upgrade, please REBOOT your PC.
After the Upgrade – “Business as Usual”
- While there are 186 enhancements in 57.3, after you upgrade, the goal is to continue to maintain your “business as usual” with the opportunity to learn, and use, at your own pace, any of the new features, using 60 new training videos and a few “index” documents all in the F1 Help file.
